Bottle of Shine fastest qualifier for the $305,077 LQHBA Futurity at Evangeline Downs

Opelousas, Louisiana – Sylvia Pitman’s Bottle of Shine ($3.20) recorded the fastest running time of the 126 Louisiana bred youngsters who competed in thirteen trials on opening night, Wednesday, September 20 at Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino.

Bottle of Shine, a gelded son of First to Shine covered the 350 yard distance on a track labeled fast in 18.148 while recording his fourth victory in five career starts. Trained by John Buchanan, he was ridden to victory by regular rider Juan Vazquez.
