Opelousas, Louisiana –Iknowuthinkimsexy, the $135,000 sales topper at the John Franks Memorial Two-Year-Old in Training Sale this past March has been installed as the 9/5 morning-line favorite in the $100,000 John Franks Memorial Sales Stakes Filly Division Friday evening at Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino. Expectations have been high for the daughter of Count The Time since she was purchased by Heiligbrodt Racing Stables after a blazing 21 2/5 quarter-mile breeze prior to the Sale. After making her debut a winning one in a trial for the D. S. “Shine” Young Memorial Filly Division in early June, Iknowuthinkimsexy finished 3rd in the rich final on Louisiana Legends Night to Swifty Victress, who is also scheduled to start in the 5 π furlong event. Most recently, she was disqualified from 2nd and placed 4th for causing interference in the Laurel Lane Stakes at Louisiana Downs on July 21st. Trainer Steve Asmussen has given the riding assignment to Gerard Melancon, currently second in the leading rider standings behind Curt Bourque.

Swifty Victress, who bested Iknowuthinkimsexy in the aforementioned D. S. “Shine” Futurity Filly Division, has won two of her three career starts and with more than $93,000 in earnings, the daughter of Macho Uno has earned more than the other ten entrants combined. Veteran rider Sylvester Carmouche Jr., who has ridden Swifty Victress to her back-to-back wins, rides for owner A. Philip Henderson and trainer Anthony Agilar.

Trainer Ralph Irwin, who won last year’s Colts & Geldings Division with Tortuga Straits, will send out Do The Tiger, a daughter of Hold That Tiger who has trained sharply for this engagement, including a five-furlong gate work in 1:00 4/5 last week at Louisiana Downs. Don Simington will ride.

Carded as the 8th race on Friday’s ten-race program, the approximate post time is 9:22pm central time.
